About The Role
Join Muon Space as the Head of FP&A, a critical role in shaping the financial future of the company. You will lead company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and performance management, partnering closely with leaders in various departments. This highly visible role requires advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and executive presentation skills, along with a proven track record in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing industries.
- Lead company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and performance management in support of rapid growth across commercial and government programs.
- Own the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long-Range Plan (LRP), and rolling forecasts across all business units, providing actionable insights on program and company-level performance.
- Build scalable FP&A processes, tools, and systems to support rapid company growth, driving adoption of ERP and BI tools.
- Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and executive presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Proven track record in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing industries
- 8–12+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or investment banking, including 3+ years in a managerial role
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment

- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must either be:
- (A) a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157
- Or (C) eligible and reasonably likely to obtain the required export authorization from the applicable U.S. government agency
- Or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, (B) eligible to access the export controlled information without a required export authorization
- Strong grasp of long-cycle programs, unit economics, government contract structures and EVM a plus
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Anaplan)
- Experience with both commercial and government space programs
- MBA, CFA, or CPA
