Staff Software Engineer (Simulation Infrastructure)

• Architect the direction of simulation tools and lead the design, development, and delivery of simulation products.
• Collaborate with engineering management to design and deliver simulation services that meet stakeholder needs.
• Mentor Simulation and Test team engineers, define success metrics, and drive team alignment with company goals.
• To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must either be (A) a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, (B) eligible to access the export controlled information without a required export authorization, or (C) eligible and reasonably likely to obtain the required export authorization from the applicable U.S. government agency
• B.S. or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field

• Experience with numerical simulation techniques
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps best practices
• Familiarity with cloud deployment environments, like Kubernetes and virtual instances
• Strong programming experience in both a high-level scripting language and a compiled systems language
• Willingness to operate in novel technical domains
• Knowledge of the Julia language
• Experience with Software-in-the-Loop simulation
• 10+ years' experience as a software engineer in a team environment
• Fluency in statistical analysis
• Familiarity with Linux systems administration and Docker containers
• General familiarity with orbital satellite operations
• An ideal candidate is an expert generalist software engineer who is as comfortable architecting and building reliable web services as they are delivering high-performance compute jobs
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proven ability to collaborate with specialized experts to deliver complex, cross-functional products
