About The Role

  • Establishing testing policy and delivering testing capabilities to improve velocity and ability to launch successful missions.
  • Defining department-wide metrics for test health, developing automated reporting techniques, and driving measurable improvement.
  • Collaborating with management to improve team estimation and planning, and defining success metrics to drive team alignment with company goals.
  • An ideal candidate is an expert in software testing processes, an accomplished software tool developer, and experienced with Hardware-in-the-Loop and Simulations driven testing
  • B.S. or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g. Github Actions)
  • Experience designing infrastructure or orchestration for running and reporting on end-to-end integration tests on large multi-component systems
  • 10+ years' experience as a software engineer in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to deliver comprehensive department-scale testing procedures and infrastructure, including Hardware-in-the-Loop integration testing
  • Willingness to operate in novel technical domains
  • Familiarity with Linux systems administration and Docker containers
  • Strong programming experience in Python
  • Familiarity with common electronics test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers)
  • Experience testing embedded hardware projects, like robotics, autonomous vehicles, or aerospace
  • Familiarity with cloud deployment environments, like Kubernetes and virtual instances
  • Knowledge of C/C++
  • Experience with Software-in-the-Loop simulation
  • Fluency in statistical analysis
