Staff Engineer, Documents (d/f/m)

Join Personio, an intelligent HR platform that helps small and medium-sized organizations streamline their HR, payroll, and employee experience. As a Staff Software Engineer in the Money domain, you will lead technical design and architecture, build and evolve systems that manage compensation data, and contribute to Personio's Compensation Management product. You will work closely with product teams and improve data correctness, reliability, and performance across critical payroll inputs. This role requires extensive experience in designing and building large-scale backend systems, strong experience in product-driven engineering environments, and a track record of driving technical strategy and architectural improvements.

• Lead technical design and architecture within the Money domain, building and evolving systems that manage compensation data across Personio.
• Develop capabilities supporting different compensation types such as salary, bonuses, benefits, and equity, and contribute to features within Personio’s Compensation Management product.
• Act as a technical multiplier, helping engineers across the team deliver high-quality systems, and contribute hands-on to the codebase, spending roughly 50% of your time coding.
