About The Role
Join our team as a Senior/Staff Design Engineer, where you'll elevate the interaction quality, motion, and polish of our product. This role combines design and engineering, allowing you to work directly with designers and engineers to ship new features that feel crafted, consistent, and human. You'll embed across product teams, own the interaction quality layer, and proactively identify and address gaps in production. Additionally, you'll help define motion and interaction patterns, contribute to design system improvements, and partner with our frontend platform team. This is a foundational role for building a world-class product surface and elevating our craft as we scale.

- Excellent sense of visual and interaction design, with an eye for spacing, typography, motion, and delightful details
- Ability to build scalable component libraries, design systems, or reusable UI frameworks
- A systems mindset seeing patterns, simplifying complexity, and designing for long-term reuse
- Founder’s mindset - ownership, speed, scrappiness, resilience, bias toward action
- A passion for building delightful, consumer-grade user experiences
- Experience collaborating closely with designers throughout the entire product development process
- Ability to prototype quickly and translate ambiguous ideas into tangible interfaces
- Fluency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, Next, React, CSS systems, and component architecture
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence product direction and UI standards
- 5+ years of frontend or UX engineering experience, ideally in consumer or product-focused companies
- An understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and web performance considerations
