About The Role

Join our Hardware Reliability team as a Senior Reliability Engineer. In this role, you will lead efforts to ensure the long-term performance, durability, and robustness of critical hardware systems. You will apply Design for Reliability principles, develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, and drive failure analysis investigations. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on reliability engineering experience, proficiency in scripting or automation, and a strong understanding of reliability engineering principles.

  • Lead reliability engineering efforts across hardware programs, ensuring components and systems meet demanding performance, environmental, and durability requirements.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies to uncover failure modes, validate off-the-shelf and custom hardware, and model expected field performance.
  • Drive and support failure analysis investigations, collaborating closely with design, manufacturing, and component teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • We're looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented engineer who is passionate about identifying failure risks early in the design cycle, driving cross-functional collaboration, and delivering hardware that performs reliably in the harshest real-world environments
  • 5+ years of hands-on reliability engineering experience, preferably in electromechanical systems or sensors
  • Proficiency in scripting or automation using tools such as Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW
  • Experience with environmental and mechanical stress testing, including test design, execution, and result interpretation
  • Proven track record in testing and validating hardware components for long-term field performance
  • Familiarity with reliability analysis tools and techniques: FMEA, Weibull analysis, SPC, HALT/HASS, and accelerated life testing
  • Strong understanding of physics of failure and reliability engineering principles, particularly for electronic, optical, or mechanical systems
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with design, systems, manufacturing, and test teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience working with reliability test equipment such as environmental chambers, vibration tables, thermocouples, strain gauges, and data acquisition systems
