Senior Manager of Quality Engineering

Join our team as a Senior Manager of Quality Engineering, where you'll lead the quality strategy for our core data infrastructure and oversee a high-leverage platform tooling team. You'll mentor and guide a team of 10+ engineers, define our quality strategy using DORA metrics, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is built into the architecture from the start. Additionally, you'll help with production deployments, lead root-cause analysis, and advocate for quality and customer success across the organization.

• Lead the quality strategy for core data infrastructure, embedding quality engineers in development squads and measuring success using DORA metrics.
• Oversee the development of shared CI/CD gates, contract-testing infrastructure, and chaos templates, setting technical standards for the organization.
• Mentor and lead a team of 10+ engineers, fostering a culture of shared ownership and defining quality strategy and standards.
• Prior hands-on experience in a Senior IC role is preferred
• Great communication skills—you’re comfortable influencing others and explaining quality goals to both technical and non-technical folks
• BSCS degree or equivalent required, MSCS or equivalent strongly preferred
• A track record of building modern testing strategies and automation frameworks. Experience with contract/consumer-driven testing or chaos engineering is a big plus
• Deep experience with data systems like Postgres, Clickhouse, Trino, Spark, Iceberg, Kinesis, Kafka, and cloud-native architectures
• Strong familiarity with AI-driven tooling, including evaluating AI-generated tests and code quality
• 4+ years of management experience leading distributed teams of 10+ people
