Vice President of Engineering

Join Workato, a leading integration and automation platform, as the Vice President of Engineering for Developer Products & Platforms. In this role, you will lead the engineering organization responsible for our developer platform and tooling experience. You will design, build, and operate our developer products and Otto superagent, while partnering closely with Design, Marketing, and AI Research teams. This is a high-impact role that requires deep technical expertise, strong product instincts, and operational excellence.

• Lead and scale the engineering organization responsible for Workato's developer platform, including developer tools, SDKs, IDE extensions, APIs, and platform services.
• Partner with Product Management and executive leadership to shape platform strategy, define engineering priorities, and execute against company objectives.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering organization, including engineering managers and senior individual contributors.
• Experience building products for technical audiences with a strong focus on developer experience and usability
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading product-focused engineering organizations and engineering leaders
• Proven track record building and scaling developer platforms, developer tools, APIs, SDKs, or infrastructure products
• Demonstrated deep understanding of modern AI developer tooling, agent frameworks, LLM application architectures, and developer workflows
• Experience using telemetry, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making to improve product adoption and platform performance
• Strong technical depth in modern developer ecosystems, API design, distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and software development workflows
• Demonstrated success partnering closely with Product Management, Research, Sales, Marketing, and Design to deliver customer-centric solutions
• Strong communicator and collaborator who builds trust across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into execution
• Passion for engaging with developer communities and shaping the future of developer platforms and AI-native software development
