Head of Funds Audit (Delivery, 12 Month FTC)

Join Aviva Investors as the Head of Funds Audit Delivery, a pivotal role responsible for the end-to-end delivery of fund audits and tax returns across a diverse range of funds. You will manage project plans, drive adherence to deadlines, and proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks. Strong stakeholder engagement and a solid accounting background are essential for this high-impact role.

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of fund audits and tax returns for over 400 funds, ensuring timely execution and adherence to deadlines.
• Manage project plans, drive adherence to deadlines, and proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks in the audit process.
• Engage with stakeholders across Aviva Investors, Aviva Group, HSBC Fund Controllers, and external auditors to ensure governance, quality assurance, and operational excellence.
• This is a great job for someone who has Excellent Asset Management experience, with knowledge of Private Markets and associated assets
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (e.g., ACA/ACCA) and/or industry equivalent (e.g., IMC)
• Experience in a Project Management capacity in the Asset Management industry. Extensive understanding of Project governance and fully competent in the use of MS Office applications and other project tools and methodologies
• Fund Services – Knowledge of fund accounting, transfer agency, AML / KYC, banking, payments, depository, tax provision / compliance including high level knowledge and understanding of the funds audit process would be an advantage but is not a requirement
• Qualified Accountant – Qualified accountant, ideally with strong technical accounting capability and experience in the Asset Management industry with would be an advantage
• External audit experience – experience of delivering or performing external audits, ideally within the Asset Management industry. Big 4/medium sized external audit experience
