About The Role
Join our team as a Lead UX Designer for our prenatal diagnostic platform, Unity. In this role, you will own the end-to-end experience strategy and execution, translating complex molecular diagnostics into seamless, trustworthy experiences for clinicians, patients, and operational teams. You will lead the design process from research insights through final production, create and maintain high-quality design artifacts, and advocate for evidence-based design. Additionally, you will oversee and mentor junior designers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive initiatives independently while maintaining strategic alignment. This is a hybrid position based in Menlo Park.

- Proven track record designing in healthcare, biotech, or similarly complex regulated environments
- 3+ years in leadership roles with demonstrated ability to own design strategy and guide team members
- Background working with AI-powered product experiences a plus
- Expert-level skills in design and prototyping tools: Figma, Sketch, Miro, or similar platforms
- Experience creating and maintaining design systems at scale
- An exceptional portfolio demonstrating systems-level thinking, strategic leadership, and user-centered problem solving from research through final execution
- Experience in both B2B and B2C healthcare product contexts preferred
- 7–10 years of professional experience in UX, product design, or service design
- Mastery of information architecture, interaction design principles, and UX best practices
- Track record of partnering with product management on prioritization and phased delivery approaches
- Deep understanding of user research methodologies, from generative research to usability testing
