Senior Power Electronics Engineer

About The Role

Join IONATE, a deep technology scale-up focused on building the technology backbone for smart electricity grids. As a Senior Power Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, designing, implementing, and testing electronics circuits and systems. You will work on grid-connected inverter design, contribute to live ongoing projects, and collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver projects on time.

  • Contribuer activement à la conception, à l'analyse, à la simulation et aux discussions techniques liées à la conception d'inverseurs connectés au réseau.
  • Développer des circuits et des systèmes électroniques, en passant des concepts et prototypes aux produits commerciaux, avec un accent sur la conception d'inverseurs connectés au réseau.
  • Participer à la validation et à la vérification des systèmes, en effectuant des tests en laboratoire et sur site, et en utilisant des équipements de test.
  • An understanding of best practices related to thermomechanical designs
  • Extensive experience in power electronics design, ideally in high power applications
  • Degree in Electrical and Electronics engineering or equivalent
  • Good understanding of electronic and electrical components and their principles, integrated circuits, signal processing and passive/active filter designs
  • Experience using tools such as SPICE, Altium, MATLAB, Confluence, JIRA
  • Ability to design, create and test PCBs
  • Experience in electronics circuit modelling and simulation
  • Experience conducting laboratory and site-based testing using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analysers, grid emulators etc
  • Experience designing systems fit for large scale manufacturing and production
  • Communication skills enabling you to work with various teams across the globe
  • A drive to learn new things!
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally when required for testing/ commissioning
  • Experience in power electronics converters (AC/DC, DC/AC, DC/DC)
  • Design experience for low noise, mixed signal systems
  • Experience designing systems to meet EMC/EMI standards
  • Experience designing and testing commercially ready systems for UL/TUV certification
  • Soldering and PCB rework
