Senior Software Engineer (Core Experiences)

Join Speechify as a Senior Software Engineer on our Core Experiences Team. In this critical role, you will build and maintain foundational services and SDKs that power our product experience across platforms. You will collaborate with product teams, optimize existing functionality, and ship cloud functions and lightweight backend services using Kotlin. Ideal candidates have experience with GCP, Kotlin Multiplatform, and a passion for designing clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that enhance the user experience.

• Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster feedback, and deliver solutions via cross-platform SDK.
• Optimize existing functionality to improve performance, design more efficient abstractions, and enhance algorithms.
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin, focusing on end-to-end design and simplicity.
• Systems thinking. You know that optimizing a system requires end-to-end design, and you believe simplicity is valuable
