Senior Software Engineer (Core Experiences)

Join Speechify as a Senior Software Engineer on our Core Experiences Team. In this critical role, you will work at the intersection of product and infrastructure, designing clear and reliable APIs that enhance the user experience. You will collaborate with product teams, optimize existing functionality, and ship cloud functions and lightweight backend services using Kotlin. Ideal candidates have experience with Kotlin Multiplatform, GCP, and a strong focus on collaboration and systems thinking.

• Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster feedback, and deliver solutions via cross-platform SDK.
• Optimize existing functionality to improve performance, design more efficient abstractions, and enhance algorithms.
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin, focusing on speed and collaboration.
• Speed. You work quickly to generate ideas and options and know how to decide which things can ship now and what things need time
• Collaboration. You know how to inspire, play, and negotiate with opinionated designers, marketers, and PMs

• Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience is OK but role is Kotlin Multiplatform)
