Senior Software Engineer (Core Experiences)

Join Speechify as a Senior Software Engineer on our Core Experiences Team. In this critical role, you will build and maintain foundational services and SDKs that power our product experience across platforms. You will collaborate with product teams, optimize existing functionality, and ship cloud functions and lightweight backend services using Kotlin. Ideal candidates should have experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and GCP.

• Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster feedback, and deliver solutions via cross-platform SDK.
• Optimize existing functionality to improve loading speed and parsing intelligence by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms.
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin, while ensuring end-to-end design and simplicity.
• Speed. You work quickly to generate ideas and options and know how to decide which things can ship now and what things need time
• Systems thinking. You know that optimizing a system requires end-to-end design, and you believe simplicity is valuable

• Preferred Tech Stack:
• Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience is OK but role is Kotlin Multiplatform)
• Prior experience with GCP is a plus
