Software Engineer (Data Infrastructure & Acquisition)

Join Speechify, a leading AI company, as a Software Engineer focused on Data Infrastructure & Acquisition. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of data collection to support our model training operations. You will work closely with our scientists to deliver richer data at a larger scale and lower cost, and collaborate with the AI team and Speechify leadership to craft the dataset roadmap for our next-generation products. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of industry experience in software development, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Docker, Infrastructure-as-Code, and at least one major cloud provider (GCP).

• Collect and integrate new sources of audio data into the ingestion pipeline, ensuring high-quality datasets.
• Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for the ingestion pipeline, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform.
• Collaborate with scientists and the AI team to enhance data quality and throughput, delivering richer data at a larger scale.
• Experience with web crawlers, large-scale data processing workflows is a plus
• 5+ years of industry experience in software development
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
• Proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and professional experience with at least one major Cloud Provider (we use GCP)
• Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments
