About The Role
Join our team as a Group Financial Controller, where you'll lead a broad portfolio across Group reporting, governance, compliance, and finance operations within a listed business environment. This high-impact role offers significant visibility across senior leadership, the Audit Committee, and Board, providing the opportunity to influence how Finance supports the wider business as we continue to scale. You'll oversee external reporting processes, manage relationships with external auditors, drive technical accounting governance, and lead sustainability and ESG reporting initiatives. Additionally, you'll support treasury, liquidity, insurance, and broader financial risk management activities, and lead the continued development of finance systems and reporting infrastructure.
- Lead the Group’s external reporting processes, including half-year and full-year reporting under IFRS, and oversee statutory reporting obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and support the Group audit process, driving strong technical accounting governance and policy development.
- Lead Group-wide sustainability and ESG reporting initiatives, including evolving IFRS sustainability requirements, and oversee controls, compliance, governance, and enterprise risk management frameworks.
- We would be open to candidates that would like to take this role on a permanent or a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis
- Experience managing external audits and working with senior stakeholders
- Exposure to sustainability reporting, tax, treasury, or finance transformation would be beneficial
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience
- Strong relationship-building skills with experience influencing senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience leading annual reporting processes
- Ability to operate effectively across multiple specialist finance areas and shifting priorities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a pragmatic and collaborative approach
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new areas quickly
- Proven experience within a UK listed business environment
- Broad exposure across governance, controls, compliance, and financial reporting
- Experience leading and developing senior teams
