UI Engineer

Join OnCorps as a UI Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between design and engineering. You will establish the frontend architecture for our applications, collaborate with the design team, and integrate frontend applications with backend APIs. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and modern CSS/styling methodologies, as well as a passion for staying ahead of the curve in frontend technology.

• Architect, develop, and maintain highly responsive, accessible, and scalable user interfaces using modern web technologies.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate frontend applications with robust middleware and backend APIs, ensuring smooth data handling, state management, and application performance.
• Partner directly with the OnCorps design team to evolve and govern our design system establishing best practices for component architecture and interaction design.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and modern CSS/styling methodologies
• Proven track record of building, documenting, and maintaining robust design systems using Storybook.js or similar tools
• A passion for staying ahead of the curve in frontend technology and how AI is shaping the future of user interfaces
• Prior exposure to middle- and/or back-office operations within the financial industry or fund administration is a plus
• Deep understanding of modern, component-driven frontend frameworks such as React or Angular, with the flexibility to adapt to the best tool for the job
• A product-focused mindset with a strong appreciation for UX/UI design principles
• Solid experience working with middleware, RESTful/GraphQL APIs, and state management
• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development, UI engineering, or a related field
