About The Role

  • Partner cross-functionally with various teams to embed legal guidance into product development and go-to-market strategy.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, and own and evolve VSCO’s contracting processes and systems.
  • Research and advise on privacy, intellectual property, and platform regulations, ensuring compliance with U.S. and international laws.
  • Approximately 5+ years of legal experience in-house, at a law firm, or a combination of both.
  • Working knowledge of data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and platform regulations (e.g., DSA and Online Safety Acts)
  • Experience with or interest in optimizing contract management systems and processes
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements and building scalable templates
  • Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, practical guidance
  • Excellent communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong judgment and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a pragmatic approach to risk
  • Solid grounding in intellectual property law (trademark, copyright, and patents)
  • JD and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state
  • Experience implementing and managing privacy programs
  • Familiarity with legal operations and a desire to drive efficiencies
  • A passion for photography and creative communities
