Senior / Staff Software Engineer (iOS)

Join our dynamic team as a Senior/Staff Software Engineer (iOS) and help shape the future of music creation. You will work directly with the founding team to define the architecture and experience of our innovative product. As a Senior Engineer, you will own major features and contribute to architectural decisions. As a Staff Engineer, you will set the technical direction for the iOS platform, mentor the team, and define the foundations for scaling our user base. • An obsession with great user experience — you care about the details that most engineers skip
• 5+ years (Senior) or 7+ years (Staff) shipping production iOS apps
• A collaborative spirit and strong communication — you work fluidly with designers, PMs, and backend teams
• Strong sense for performance: you profile, benchmark, and fix, from UI thread contention to network efficiency
• Deep experience building fluid, polished animations and translating design prototypes into robust, production-grade code
• Comfort with ambiguity: you can scope work, make tradeoffs, and ship without a fully-defined spec
• Advanced expertise in Swift — we use SwiftUI with UIKit where necessary
• Experience working with audio playback systems, streaming pipelines, or real-time audio
• Experience with social product features: feeds, follow graphs, notifications, publishing flows
• Background designing or consuming mobile-first APIs in close collaboration with backend engineers
• Track record building 0→1 consumer products at a fast-moving startup
• Technical leadership or mentorship experience (especially important for Staff candidates)
