Senior Data Analyst (Business Insights)
Garner Health · New York, United States
About The Role
Join Garner, a fast-growing company in the healthcare industry, as a Senior Data Analyst. In this role, you will own KPIs and dashboards, partner with stakeholders to define success metrics, collaborate with the data engineering team to build scalable data pipelines, and develop deep domain expertise. You will also identify reporting gaps, advocate for best practices in data visualization and communication, and conduct deep-dive investigations into complex business problems. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of healthcare through data-driven decision-making.
- Own KPIs and dashboards end-to-end, managing the full lifecycle of analytics projects from scoping to delivery.
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to create maintainable pipelines that power reliable reporting.
- Run deep-dive investigations into complex business problems, providing analysis that leadership uses to make strategic decisions.
- Cross-functional translation. Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into data-driven solutions and to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders
- Autonomy and ownership. Comfortable working independently and owning reporting projects end-to-end
- A desire to be part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that operates with intense urgency, a strong sense of individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback
- 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a similar data-centric role
- Making data accessible. A track record of getting stakeholders trustworthy, self-serve access to the information they need. Experience with a BI/visualization tool (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar) helps — but the outcome matters more than the specific tool
- Modern data stack. Hands-on with Snowflake (or a comparable cloud warehouse) and SQL at scale; experience with dbt strongly preferred — you'll partner with Data Management in governed pipelines, not just consume their outputs
- Automation mindset. Attention to detail with a bias toward automation and scalability over one-off work
- AI Nativity. Comfort with and excitement about building analytics, building dashboards, and validating results by harnessing the power of AI agents
