Outreach Adviser - Croft Woodlands (Uist and Barra)

Join the Woodland Trust, the UK's largest woodland conservation charity, as an Outreach Adviser for Croft Woodlands in Uist and Barra. In this role, you will provide expert advice and support to crofters and land managers on woodland creation and management projects. You will lead the development and delivery of Forestry Grant Scheme applications, plan and implement Croft Woodlands MOREwoods schemes, and build strong relationships with land managers and local organizations. This is a home-based role requiring regular travel to the Uist and Barra landscape and occasional travel to regional offices.

• Provide expert advice and ongoing support to crofters, grazing committees, and land managers on woodland creation and management projects.
• Lead the development and delivery of Forestry Grant Scheme applications, coordinating consultants or preparing proposals in-house.
• Plan and implement Croft Woodlands MOREwoods schemes, ensuring successful project delivery.
