About The Role
Join Humanoid, a company on a mission to build the world's most capable humanoid robots. As a Manipulation Capabilities Engineer, you will work at the intersection of applied deep learning and robotics, teaching robots to manipulate the world around them. You will be responsible for post-training manipulation policies, data preprocessing strategies, and collaborating with various teams to improve motion smoothness and teleoperation experience. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience working with robots, familiarity with deep learning infrastructure, and a good understanding of modern software engineering practices.
- Post-train manipulation policies via behaviour cloning and RL; own the full loop from data to deployment.
- Come up with data preprocessing strategies to improve the quality of collected data.
- Work with the simulation team to set up RL training using digital twin, and then iterate on reward and simulation quality to ensure successful transfer to the real world.
