About The Role

Join Harbinger, a leading electric vehicle company, as a Quality Engineer specializing in batteries. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of energy components and assemblies throughout their life cycle. You will collaborate with suppliers, product designers, and production teams to establish and maintain quality standards, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing quality or supplier quality engineering involving batteries, excellent project management skills, and a passion for delivering best-in-class products.

  • Collaborate with suppliers, product designers, and production teams to establish and maintain quality standards, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor battery quality performance metrics, proactively identify and escalate emerging high-impact issues using process and warranty data for early resolution.
  • Lead and instruct interdisciplinary efforts to conduct Root Cause analysis for both internal and external electric vehicle battery products, ensuring timely responses and validation of corrective actions to prevent non-conformances.
  • Three to five years of pertinent experience in manufacturing quality or supplier quality engineering involving batteries or equivalent products
  • Excellent project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects concurrently
  • You are energetic, passionate about quality and delivering best in class products
  • You are a hands-on engineer that loves to solve problems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing) or a related technical field
  • ASQ Certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Manager, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or higher, are preferred
  • You are bias for action and continuous improvement
  • Solid understanding of electric vehicle battery technology, general assembly, and thermal systems is advantageous
  • Proficiency in ISO-9001:2018 or IATF 16949 standards is highly desired
  • Familiarity with fundamental quality core tools including Quality Management Systems, Supplier and Internal Audits, APQP, SPC, PPAP, FMEA
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
