Senior Corporate Counsel

About The Role
Join VideoAmp, a leading company in the media measurement landscape. As a Senior Corporate Counsel, you will be a trusted legal partner, advising on critical commercial transactions and strategic initiatives. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, manage risks, and help scale the legal function as the company grows. This high-impact role requires strong communication, organization, and time management skills, as well as a deep understanding of data privacy law and experience in legal operations.
- Draft, negotiate, and review all types of commercial contracts, including SaaS, partnership, data licensing, MSAs/SOWs, DPAs, consulting, confidentiality, vendor, and other business and legal agreements.
- Support data, privacy, and product related matters by assisting with the data privacy program, advising on product development, and advising on the Company's data compliance.
- Identify and assess contractual, privacy, compliance, and financial risk across a wide range of deal types, and communicate that risk clearly and concisely to business stakeholders.

- Developed business acumen, with ability to understand the company's business and anticipate the nature and magnitude of issues that could arise in various settings
- JD from an accredited law school
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in interactions with customers, partners, and all levels of employees
- Ability to work well with others, curious, super-smart, passionate about what you do and fired up about the opportunity ahead for VideoAmp. We mean it when we say teamwork is critical here!
- Knowledgeable about data privacy law and experience reviewing DPAs and data license agreements. Experience implementing data privacy programs and processes in-house and project managing privacy matters
- Experience in legal operations/automation, commercial transactions, privacy, data licensing, and product
- Current member in good standing of the California or New York bar
- 6–10 years of experience working both at a law firm and in-house, preferably in technology and/or digital media companies
- Be the state privacy knowledgeable attorney for the commercial team for general privacy related questions
- Experience negotiating and drafting commercial transactions with large media companies (agencies, programmers, and/or distributors) and television publishers
- Strong experience in commercial sales transactions and revenue deals, preferably with a large company or firm
- Deep understanding of contracts
