Cloud Security Engineer

Join our team as a Cloud Security Engineer, where you will be responsible for securing and hardening cloud resources across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP. You will conduct security assessments, threat modeling, and internal audits on cloud infrastructure, and monitor and improve cloud security posture using various tools. Additionally, you will implement and maintain IAM controls, integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines, and build and maintain secure infrastructure using Terraform. You will also support CMMC / NIST 800-171 efforts and assist with logging, monitoring, and detection integration. Collaboration with other teams to resolve security issues and improve overall security posture is also a key aspect of this role.

• Secure and harden cloud resources across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP, and conduct security assessments.
• Monitor and improve cloud security posture using tools like Defender for Cloud or CSPM platforms, and implement IAM controls.
• Integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps), and build and maintain secure infrastructure using Terraform.
• Familiarity with securing CI/CD pipelines
• 4+ years of experience in cloud, security, DevOps, or infrastructure roles
• Experience using Terraform or similar IaC tools
• Solid understanding of IAM, secrets management, and security best practices
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud provider (Azure preferred)
• Working knowledge of CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, or similar frameworks
• 7+ years of experience in cloud, security, DevOps, or infrastructure roles
• Experience with Azure Government or AWS GovCloud
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, or similar tools
• Exposure to container/Kubernetes security
• Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or regulated environments
• Security certifications (e.g., Security+, AZ-500, CCSP)
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams
