About The Role

Join quip as the Director of Content, where you will architect and execute a content strategy that drives topline growth across all sales channels, including retail. You will lead a high-velocity content operation, establish a strong brand identity, and drive content-led commerce. Your success will be measured by content's contribution to growth, demand and sell-through in retail, and the efficiency lift delivered to paid acquisition and lifecycle.

  • Architecting and executing a content strategy that drives topline growth across all sales channels, including retail.
  • Building and managing a high-velocity content engine that produces breakthrough volume consistently across various platforms.
  • Establishing and overseeing an always-on creator/influencer engine and an owned community that compounds reach and advocacy over time.
  • Fluency across creative direction, design sensibility, and content production — you can mirror all three to drive marketing efficacy
  • 10+ years building content, social, and creative for consumer brands, with a clear track record of content that drove growth — not just impressions
  • Demonstrated experience building “content machines”: high-volume, always-on production systems across the social and digital landscape
  • Deep, current, hands-on command of TikTok, Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube and how their algorithms actually reward content — you know what breaks through because you have made it break through
  • Real, practical understanding of TikTok Shop and content-first selling platforms (Whatnot, live commerce). You have sold through content, not just posted it
  • A revenue-first operating mindset and genuine comfort being measured on business outcomes
  • An omnichannel instinct: you have used content to drive not only online sales but retail demand and sell-through, and you treat the shelf as a channel you are accountable to
  • Player-coach leadership: you build teams and capability, and you can still get into the work when it matters
  • NYC-based, in-market, and hands-on
