Director, Associate General Counsel (Corporate Compliance)

As the Director, Associate General Counsel (Corporate Compliance), you will build and lead our corporate compliance function, ensuring adherence to securities law, regulatory obligations, government contracting, and corporate governance. You will play a central role in scaling legal and compliance support as the company grows. • Previous in-house experience required; experience supporting or building a compliance function from scratch is highly valued
• Substantive experience in corporate compliance, securities law, and/or regulatory matters, including direct experience with public company compliance obligations
• Proven track record of learning quickly, taking initiative, working proactively and collaboratively, being resourceful, and taking on additional responsibility as the need arises
• Able to navigate ambiguity and develop creative and pragmatic solutions for complex and evolving issues in a rapidly changing environment
• Consistently good judgment, an unmatched work ethic, impeccable integrity, and a team-first attitude
• Familiarity with SEC reporting requirements, insider trading regulations, SOX compliance, and corporate governance best practices
• Experience with government contracts, grants, or regulatory compliance in an energy, manufacturing, or infrastructure context is a strong plus
• Sound practical and business judgment with a focus on effectively minimizing risks while achieving key business objectives
• High emotional intelligence, excellent written and oral communication skills
• Can-do attitude, a sense of ownership, and dedication to excellent client service
• JD from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one state Bar
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, which can consist of a combination of working at a top-ranked law firm and/or in-house legal or compliance department
