Senior Android Engineer (iRAD)

Join Robinhood as a Senior Android Engineer, where you will build and evolve high-impact mobile experiences for our investing platform. You will lead complex Android projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and champion engineering best practices. This role requires a strong background in Android development, proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java, and a passion for creating intuitive and stable mobile experiences.

• Lead the development and evolution of high-impact mobile experiences for customers on the Robinhood platform.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, test, and release product features, ensuring alignment with product goals.
• Mentor junior developers, champion engineering best practices, and influence architecture decisions to elevate team standards.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor peers, lead complex projects, and influence architecture decisions
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with a product-focused mindset
• 5+ years of professional experience developing Android applications
• Proficiency with Kotlin and/or Java, and a strong grasp of Android SDK and architecture patterns like MVVM
• Experience using Jetpack Compose, Coroutines & Flow or RxJava, and libraries such as Retrofit and Room
