Senior Android Engineer (Trading Products)

Join Robinhood's Trading Products team as a Senior Android Engineer. You will lead the development of high-impact mobile experiences, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and champion engineering best practices. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of experience in Android development, proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java, and a strong grasp of Android SDK and architecture patterns.

• Lead the development of high-impact mobile experiences for trading products, from ideation to release.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create impactful solutions and ensure code quality.
• Mentor junior developers and help elevate team standards and collaboration.
• We’re looking for someone who can drive complex Android work end to end, partner closely across functions, and bring the technical depth and product judgment to flex into staff-level scope for the right candidate
• Experience using Jetpack Compose, Coroutines & Flow or RxJava, and libraries such as Retrofit and Room
• 6+ years of professional experience developing Android applications
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with a product-focused mindset
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with Kotlin and/or Java, and a strong grasp of Android SDK and architecture patterns like MVVM
• Demonstrated ability to mentor peers, lead complex projects, and influence architecture decisions
