Senior Software Engineer (Core Systems, Rust)

Join PubNub, a leading real-time communication platform, as a Senior Software Engineer on our Core team. In this role, you will design, build, and operate distributed systems in Rust, focusing on reliability, performance, and operational excellence. You will own services from development through production operations, create metrics and dashboards, support incident response and capacity planning, and optimize system performance. This is a senior individual contributor role with a focus on building core distributed systems and improving system reliability.

• Concevoir, construire et exploiter des systèmes distribués en Rust, en mettant l'accent sur la fiabilité, la performance et l'excellence opérationnelle.

• Experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure
• Experience with Kubernetes-based environments
• Strong experience building production systems in Rust
• Experience operating production services at scale
• Deep understanding of fault tolerance and concurrency
• Experience with AWS infrastructure
• Experience with Cassandra, DynamoDB, Redis, or Aurora
• Strong observability and debugging experience
• Exposure to Go or Python
• Experience supporting high-scale distributed systems
