Backend Software Engineer (Agents Channel)

Join ERGO NEXT, a fast-growing insurtech company that has been helping small businesses in the US get affordable coverage since 2016. As a Backend Software Engineer, you will work with the latest technologies, take ownership of features, and collaborate with various functional areas. You should have at least 6 years of experience in backend development, a strong understanding of OOP concepts, and experience with relational databases.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement features for the Agents Channel domain.
• Take ownership of the entire development process, from inception through design and coding, to production deployment.
• Leverage AI and LLM-powered tools to improve developer productivity and experimentation, while producing clean, testable code.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Hands-on development of highly distributed, cloud-based environments - an advantage. We work with AWS, but any cloud experience is a plus
• A <B.Sc>. in Computer Science or equivalent is a must
• Adaptable, with a passion for quickly learning new technologies and working effectively in a dynamic environment
• At least 6+ years of proven experience in Backend development. Java/Kotlin or similar languages (Python, .NET)
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of OOP concepts and best practices
• Experience working with Relational Databases and good SQL skills
• Ability to navigate and work effectively across diverse domains and contexts
