About The Role
Join Snap Inc.'s Spectacles team as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will design, build, and support software systems for computer vision development, focusing on eye-tracking calibration. You will work closely with various teams to turn research and prototypes into robust engineering solutions. - Design, build, and support software systems, tools, and workflows that enable computer vision development for Spectacles.
- Develop production-quality C++ and supporting infrastructure for CV-related pipelines, tooling, and internal developer workflows.
- Improve the reliability, quality, and efficiency of CV development, validation, and calibration workflows, with a focus on eye-tracking calibration.
- Experience supporting geometric computer vision, eye tracking, calibration, perception, imaging, sensors, or other technically adjacent workflows
- Familiarity with numerical methods, optimisation, and measurement quality metrics for real-world CV systems
- Strong software engineering skills in C++, or solid experience in a systems language with the ability to ramp quickly on C++
- Experience building high quality, performant, and maintainable software with strong unit and functional testing practices
- Experience building tools, libraries, pipelines, or infrastructure for calibration, validation, debugging, and performance analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail
- 2+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience; or Master’s degree in a technical field + 1+ year of post-grad software development experience; or PhD in a relevant technical field
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related degree or equivalent practical experience
- Industry software development experience building production systems, tools, or infrastructure
- Experience with eye-tracking systems, gaze estimation, or calibration workflows
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping high performance software
- Experience with geometric computer vision, camera or sensor calibration, or related production CV systems
- Experience working close to hardware, sensors, operating systems, or resource-constrained devices
- Practice designing reusable APIs, tooling, platforms, or developer workflows
