Senior Product Owner

Join Canoe, a leading technology company, as a Senior Product Owner. In this role, you will be responsible for executing critical projects, enhancing product levels, and remediating defects. You will master Agile practices, manage multiple development teams, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery. Your focus will be on maximizing the flow of value delivered by the development teams and managing cross-team dependencies. You will also work closely with technical leads and architects, be the sole decision maker for accepting or rejecting product level enhancements, and partner with engineers to define clear, achievable goals.

• Prioritize and refine the product backlog for multiple teams, ensuring items are clearly defined, detailed, and ordered to maximize business value.
• Write exceptionally clear, concise, and detailed epic specs user stories and acceptance criteria for complex features, leaving no ambiguity for the development teams.
• Work closely with technical leads and architects to understand technical constraints, resource requirements, and prioritization of features against technical debt.
• Proven ability to communicate technical details and complex trade-offs clearly and precisely to engineering teams
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) certification is highly preferred
• Master-level understanding and practical application of Agile/Scrum principles; proven ability to drive a team's day-to-day execution effectively
• Exceptional attention to detail in writing User Stories and Acceptance Criteria; a demonstrated obsession with quality and clear documentation
• 6-10 years of dedicated experience as a Product Owner in a fast-paced, high-execution environment, specifically managing complex software products
• Strong background or foundational knowledge in software development processes, system integrations, and data flows to effectively guide technical decision-making
