About The Role

Join Baseten as a Senior Frontend Engineer and play a key role in crafting exceptional user experiences on our core platform. You will design, implement, and maintain responsive and user-friendly frontend interfaces using React and TypeScript. Collaborating closely with product designers, you will optimize application performance and reliability, drive major frontend initiatives, and establish best practices while mentoring other engineers. Design, implement, and maintain responsive, accessible, and user-friendly frontend interfaces using React and TypeScript.
Collaborate closely with product designers to turn complex ideas into elegant, intuitive UIs, and drive major frontend initiatives.
Establish best practices, and mentor other engineers on frontend technologies, while building reusable component libraries and frontend infrastructure.
5+ years of experience building production-grade web applications
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Track record of building well-crafted, performant, and scalable UIs
Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern web development tooling
Experience working in cross-functional product teams in a fast-paced environment
Strong product intuition and empathy for the user experience
Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Next.js, or other modern frontend frameworks
Background in developer tools or data/ML infrastructure products
Experience with WebSockets, real-time data, or custom visualization tooling
Contributions to open-source projects or public engineering work
