Strategic Finance Associate / Senior Associate

Join Baseten, a fast-scaling AI infrastructure company, as a Strategic Finance Associate/Senior Associate. In this role, you will work closely with Finance leadership and partner cross-functionally across the Finance leadership team. You will support company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes, build and maintain operating and financial models, and help prepare board materials and investor updates. You will also analyze consumption and infrastructure metrics, drive ad hoc strategic projects, and improve financial reporting processes. • We’re looking for a high-performing strategic finance professional to join our growing Finance team
• This role is ideal for someone with 3 - 4 years of experience across investment banking, venture capital, private equity and/or strategic finance who wants broad exposure to company-building inside a fast-scaling AI infrastructure company. Experience in strategic finance is a plus, but not required
• High intellectual curiosity and interest in AI / infrastructure / developer tooling
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail with a bias toward ownership and execution
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills; familiarity with SQL or BI tools is a plus
• Comfortable operating as a generalist in a fast-moving environment
• Ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations for executives
• 3 - 4 years of experience across investment banking, venture capital, private equity, and/or strategic finance
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience in AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, or SaaS
• Familiarity with usage-based business models
