Build & Release Engineer

About The Role
Join our team as a Build & Release Engineer, where you will take ownership of release cuts from our Git repositories, manage dependency and firmware version updates, build and maintain our CI/CD pipelines, and administer build artifact management. You will also be the primary engineer for our internal Release Management portal. This hands-on software engineering position requires robust coding proficiency and deep CI/CD expertise. You will collaborate with engineering, validation, and TPM teams to ensure successful releases.
- Own end-to-end software releases, including release cuts, branching, tagging, versioning, and dependency management across multiple product lines.
- Build and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines, automating build, test, and deployment workflows while improving reliability.
- Develop and enhance the internal Release Management portal, integrating CI/CD systems, artifact repositories, and release workflows.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Buildkite)
- Strong Git experience, including branching, tagging, and release workflows
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Strong troubleshooting skills across build, dependency, and release issues
- Experience designing, building, or maintaining internal tools or portals
- Experience with artifact management systems (e.g., JFrog Artifactory, Nexus, or equivalent)
- 3+ years of professional software development experience, with strong coding ability in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Embedded/automotive release processes and ASPICE workflows
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Kibana, Splunk)
- Issue tracking tools (Jira, Polarion, or similar)
- Front-end development (React, TypeScript) for internal tools
