About The Role
Join our team as an Embedded Firmware Validation Engineer, where you will design and execute validation strategies for AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive software stacks. You will validate end-to-end automotive communication protocols, verify safety features, and perform various types of testing. You will also develop and maintain automated test frameworks, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with various teams to resolve issues. - Design and execute validation strategies for AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive software stacks, including end-to-end automotive communication protocols.
- Build test benches, author automated test suites, inject faults, and drive defects to root cause with development teams.
- Collaborate with BSW, firmware, and functional safety teams to reproduce, root-cause, and resolve issues, and author traceable test cases and validation documentation.
- Familiarity with HIL/SIL testing and the Linux command line
- Working knowledge of Python or a similar scripting language; comfortable reading embedded C
- Working knowledge of AUTOSAR (Classic and/or Adaptive) architecture and test methodologies involved in validation
- Hands-on experience testing at least one automotive communication protocol (CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay, or Automotive Ethernet)
- Understanding of software testing fundamentals (test case design, defect lifecycle, regression testing)
- 3+ years of embedded software validation, firmware test, or Software Engineer in Test experience, ideally in automotive
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Buildkite
- Strong experience with AUTOSAR Adaptive and POSIX-based operating systems (QNX, PikeOS, INTEGRITY, SafeRTOS)
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic and debugging tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, ControlDesk, TRACE32, and logic/protocol analyzers
- Experience validating functional safety (ASIL B/C/D) and familiarity with automotive cybersecurity (ISO 21434)
- Familiarity with ASPICE and test management tools like Jira, Polarion, or similar ALM platforms
