- Design and develop scalable robust telematics backend systems that process high-volume, real-time telemetry data streams from millions of connected devices using modern microservices architecture.
- Architect and implement robust data processing pipelines using technologies like Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, and stream processing frameworks to handle telematics data ingestion, transformation, and analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, DevOps engineers, product managers, and frontend developers to deliver comprehensive telematics solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices including authentication, authorization, data encryption, and compliance with industry standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced cloud development environments with mission-critical, high-availability systems
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools for tracking system performance, analyzing API usage patterns, and diagnosing issues in production environments
- Knowledge of data processing and streaming technologies including Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, MQTT, NATS, WebRTC, gRPC, and experience building high-throughput data pipelines
- Understanding of automotive or transportation industry standards and experience with fleet management or logistics applications
- Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and automated testing frameworks
- Experience with event-driven architecture and serverless computing for building scalable, cost-effective telematics solutions
- Familiarity with IoT data protocols and experience integrating with various telematics data sources and third-party aggregators
- Experience with cloud platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
- 4+ years of experience in backend software development with strong proficiency in languages like Go, C++, Python, and experience with cloud-native application development
- Understanding of API design and development with experience in RESTful services, microservices architecture, and API security best practices
- Experience with database technologies including both SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehousing solutions, and time-series databases for handling large-scale telemetry data
- Experience with real-time data processing and stream analytics platforms for handling continuous telematics data feeds
- Knowledge of data visualization and business intelligence tools for creating dashboards and reports from processed telematics data
- Background in agile development methodologies and experience working in collaborative, cross-functional team environments
