About The Role

Join Relativity Space as an Avionics Test Engineer, where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing avionics testing strategies for our rocket systems. You will work closely with the avionics design team to identify and troubleshoot issues, develop automation and testing infrastructure, and create and maintain test plans and procedures.   • Design, develop, and execute avionics testing strategies for rocket systems, including qualification and acceptance testing of avionics components.
  • Work closely with the avionics design team to identify and troubleshoot issues, and develop automation and testing infrastructure to improve efficiency.
  • Create and maintain test plans and procedures for avionics systems, and integrate, commission, and operate test rack hardware and software.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition and control system platforms such as NI, Beckhoff, or similar
  • Experience working with electronics test equipment such as power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and electronic loads
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree (BS/MS/PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with electronics hardware simulation or test
  • Familiarity with common communication protocols such as Ethernet, CAN, UART, SPI, etc
  • Familiarity with CAD tools such as NX
  • Familiarity with wire harness design
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB for data acquisition/recording and analysis
  • Familiarity with embedded software development and integration for avionics systems
  • Experience with analog sensors such as pressure transducers, RTDs, and accelerometers
  • Experience with a schematic capture & PCB design tool such as Altium Designer
