About The Role

Join Relativity Space as a Senior Hardware Engineer (Digital) on the Avionics team. You will be responsible for designing, testing, and analyzing custom high-speed electronics for the Terran R launch vehicle. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the fundamental avionics architecture and have a high degree of ownership over components that will fly. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and oversee hardware development through the entire product lifecycle.

Design, test, and analyze custom high-speed electronics for the Terran R launch vehicle.
Oversee hardware development through the entire product lifecycle, from concept to flight maturity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of avionics systems.
Experience working with highly cross-functional teams (mechanical, thermal, electrical, software, etc.) to develop integrated electronics solutions
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Experience with hardware bring-up, validation, debugging, and data analysis
Experience with eCAD software such as Altium or equivalent
5+ years of experience in electronics designed for harsh environments and mission-critical applications such as launch vehicles, spacecraft, aircraft, or robotics
Experience with board-level design from concept to manufacturing
Technical expertise in high speed serial interfaces (SPI, PCIe, Ethernet, etc.); memory interfaces; design for SoCs, microcontrollers, and microprocessors
Experience with design for reliability and manufacturability of avionics hardware and systems
Familiarity with embedded software development and integration for avionics systems
