Senior Software Engineer (Front End)

Join OKX, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, as a Senior Software Engineer (Front End). In this role, you will be responsible for building and shipping the money experiences of OKX, including fiat deposits/withdrawals, Simple Buy/Sell, and Cards & Pay. You will work closely with product, design, and backend teams across the US and APAC, and contribute to tooling, patterns, and practices beyond your own team. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is required.

• Own and ship the money experiences of OKX, including fiat deposit/withdraw, Simple Buy/Sell, and Cards & Pay.
• Build AI-native engineering infrastructure, including agent harnesses, reusable skills, E2E automation, and evaluation pipelines.
• Drive frontend quality end-to-end, including architecture, performance, testing, and server-driven UI systems.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and frontend essentials — TypeScript, React, modern toolchains (Vite), browser internals, and state management. Depth beyond framework APIs
• Hands-on creativity with AI-assisted development: you've built things around models — agents, harnesses, MCP tools, eval loops, CI gates — not just used autocomplete
• Self-driven and resilient: you learn faster than expected, push hard deliveries through to completion, and contribute beyond your own scope
• Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is required to communicate effectively with our engineering and product teams across APAC
• A good sense of web performance, responsive design, and web security — you build experiences that are fast, adaptive across devices, and safe by default
• A conviction that decisions should be data-driven — and the willingness to get your hands dirty building the instrumentation and infrastructure when it doesn't exist yet
• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field from a strong program, or equivalent evidence of exceptional ability
• Sharp problem-solving: you root-cause ambiguous problems quickly and make sound calls with incomplete information
• You've shipped developer tooling, design systems, or open-source work that other engineers adopted
• Familiarity with server-driven UI, module federation, or large-scale frontend library architecture
• E2E automation experience with Playwright — bonus points if you've taught an AI agent to write and maintain the tests for you
• Experience in payments, fintech, or trading products
