Staff Backend Software Engineer

As a Staff Backend Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services, APIs, and databases. You will collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features, optimize applications for performance and scalability, and provide mentorship to junior engineers. • Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and databases to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features and optimize applications.
• Conduct code reviews, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• The ideal candidate has extensive experience in backend technologies, and system architecture, along with a passion for solving complex problems for our users and mentoring engineers

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field required; Master's degree preferred
• You've been through the planning, launching and refactoring phases of code you wrote
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in working with databases (SQL & NoSQL) such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis
• 7+ years professional software engineering experience
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of design patterns and software engineering best practices
• Motivated and responsible individual who strives to exceed expectations
• Experience scaling integration systems
• Familiarity with Golang, Typescript
• Experience with AWS Lambda, Terraform
• Experience in Edtech industry
