About The Role
Join Wpromote as a Senior IT Engineer, where you will be a key technical anchor on the IT team, owning the systems and platforms that power the company's day-to-day operations. You will lead the administration and architecture of core IT systems, drive technical project execution, resolve complex technical escalations, leverage AI to drive outcomes, provide on-site IT leadership, drive support ticket queue excellence, strengthen IAM and access governance, and build documentation and knowledge. - The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Apple/Mac environments, Google Workspace, MDM, and modern identity platforms, and is energized by both hands-on engineering and partnering across the team to elevate IT as a whole
- Deep expertise in Apple/Mac environments, including macOS configuration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management
- Strong networking and documentation skills, including Wi-Fi/VPN/DNS troubleshooting and clear technical writing
- Hands-on experience supporting Mac-first, Google-centric environments at scale, with the ability to navigate complexity across systems, integrations, and end-user needs
- Direct working knowledge of A/V and conference room technology troubleshooting experience (Google Meet, displays, microphones, soundbars)
- SSO and identity platform experience, including Okta, Rippling, or similar identity providers, with working knowledge of provisioning, authentication, and access governance
- Advanced Google Workspace administration experience, including directory management, group structure, security policies, shared drives, and integrations
- 4+ years of hands-on IT engineering experience in a professional environment, with a track record of owning systems and technical projects end-to-end
- Security awareness, including familiarity with FileVault, MFA, MDM compliance, and endpoint protection best practices
- Demonstrated use of AI tools to drive measurable outcomes, with specific examples of time savings, cost reduction, or process efficiency
- Hands-on MDM platform experience (Jamf, Mosyle, Kandji, or equivalent), covering device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and fleet health
- Exposure to SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks, with an understanding of how IT supports security and audit readiness
- The ability to operate with 70%+ autonomous decision-making on technical matters and brings sound judgment to systems-level architecture and design choices
- Strong communicator with the ability to take direction, drive technical work autonomously, surface blockers early, and partner effectively across the team
- People management experience: while this role is scoped as a senior individual contributor, candidates with prior experience leading or developing IT teams will be considered for expanded scope
- Industry certifications (Jamf Certified Admin, Apple Certified Support Professional, Google Workspace Admin, Okta Certified Professional)
- ITIL certification or experience operating in ITIL-aligned environments
- Scripting or automation experience (Bash, Python, AppleScript) for systems administration and workflow optimization
- Experience evaluating, selecting, and implementing new IT vendors or platforms
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
