Robotics Systems Intern (Sensor Platform)

Join our team as a Robotics Systems Intern, where you will evaluate and optimize production-intended sensors for our autonomous trucks. You will work across hardware and software boundaries, design and execute sensor evaluation experiments, and contribute to sensor driver and data pipeline improvements. • Evaluar y optimizar sensores destinados a la producción para camiones autónomos.
• Diseñar y ejecutar experimentos de evaluación de sensores, caracterizando su comportamiento.
• Contribuir a mejoras en los controladores de sensores y en la tubería de datos en C++ y Python.
• Strong interest in systems-level performance: profiling, bottleneck analysis, latency and jitter measurement
• Strong coding skills in C++ and/or C and Python
• Comfortable working in Linux (shell, compiling code, basic debugging, log inspection)
• Experience capturing and analyzing sensor traffic using tools like tcpdump, Wireshark, or custom logging pipelines
• Data structures and algorithms
• Networking fundamentals (UDP/TCP, ports, sockets, throughput vs latency)
• Familiarity with systems concepts:
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to turn raw data into clear, actionable insights
• Familiarity with robotics or sensor systems, such as LiDAR, radar, IMU, or cameras (project, coursework, or hobby)
