Software Engineer Intern (Robotics)

In this role, you will work with a team and external vendors to bring up and validate a fully redundant system on Plus's internal fleet. You will develop fallback mechanisms for redundant actuation systems, design and implement internal protocols on embedded systems, collaborate with relevant teams to define test cases, establish and maintain a CI pipeline, and improve the integration of Teleops and Offboard systems. • Collaborate with team and external vendors to bring up and validate fully redundant systems on internal fleet.
• Develop fallback mechanisms for redundant actuation systems, including system state monitoring and fault handling.
• Design and implement internal protocols on embedded systems to ensure proper communication and synchronization between redundant compute systems.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience in robotics / mechatronics system integration
• Experience with embedded systems, Linux CLI, and ROS
• A strong commitment to quality work, demonstrating reliability, accountability, and a proactive approach to meeting project goals and deadlines
• Proficient in in C++, familiar with Simulink
