Senior Staff Software Engineer (Interop)

Join Zocdoc as a Senior Staff Software Engineer in the Interoperability group. In this role, you will lead the rearchitecture of our sync framework, design abstractions for EHR-specific complexity, and collaborate with a dedicated team of engineers, product managers, and designers. You will have a significant impact on the healthcare experience for millions of customers and providers.

• 10+ years of significant expertise in backend development. Strong understanding of OO Fundamentals. Experience within AWS environments and a high emphasis on testing is a plus

• Been an outstanding and persuasive communicator capable of delving into technical project details and facilitating technical discussions while also being adept at presenting solutions at an appropriate level of abstraction for a diverse cross-functional audience, including non-technical stakeholders
• Improved developer productivity, efficiency and velocity by setting up and evangelizing best practices for coding, testing, deployment, observability and developer tooling
• Successfully mentored other engineers in the past and have encouraged your peers to use engineering best practices
• Experience successfully working with a distributed workforce preferred
• Successfully architected and shipped high-impact, complex, solutions and frameworks, with experience working across multiple areas of the technology stack and complex system integrations
• Demonstrated history of solid and well rounded system design and architectural leadership skills
• A growth mindset and inspire excellence, acting as a multiplier for your team and the broader engineering organization
• Experience building platforms or frameworks that abstract complexity for other engineering teams – you know how to design APIs and interfaces that are a joy to use
