About The Role

Join Coupa, a leading global technology company, as the Director of FP&A. In this strategic role, you will partner closely with the Chief Customer Officer and their leadership team to provide insightful financial guidance, drive strategic decision-making, and optimize performance across the organization. You will lead financial planning and analysis for our global Value Services organization, encompassing various teams and a significant annual spend. This position requires a strong background in FP&A, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of strategic business partnering with executive-level stakeholders.

  • Act as the primary financial partner to the Chief Customer Officer and the Value Services leadership team, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support business growth.
  • Lead the annual budgeting, long-range planning, and monthly forecasting processes for the Customer Success, Professional Services, Education, Enablement, Support, and Services Operations teams.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 3 FP&A professionals, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous development.
  • Executive Presence: Proven track record of strategic business partnering with C-suite and executive-level stakeholders
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA is a plus
  • Systems Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with the financial planning software Anaplan is strongly preferred. Familiarity with leveraging Generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini) to enhance data analysis, automate workflows, and drive productivity is highly desirable
  • Experience Level: 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A in a fast-paced, high-growth technology company
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely to both financial and non-financial audiences
  • Execution & Accuracy: Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work with a high expectation of detailed accuracy under tight deadlines
  • Industry Experience: Prior experience directly supporting a SaaS Professional Services organization is required
  • Technical Expertise: Expert-level financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
