About The Role

Join Coupa as a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer, where you will oversee and architect our highly scaled cloud environment. You will champion automation and apply FinOps principles to ensure efficiency and scalable growth. Your work will directly eliminate manual toil and optimize resource management, empowering Coupa to deliver highly available and performant services to our customers. You will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams and mentor engineers to improve platform resilience, security, and operational excellence.

Architect, manage, and scale enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure (EKS/GKE) to ensure high availability and performance.
Oversee automated continuous platform optimization, shifting away from manual tuning and human toil to scalable, automated resource management systems.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, FinOps, and Finance teams to drive sustainable cost avoidance and alignment.
Deep expertise in AWS/GCP cloud services, containerization technologies, and managing large compute footprints
Strong understanding of FinOps principles and experience driving cost avoidance strategies in a dynamic cloud-native environment
Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or SRE managing Kubernetes (EKS/GKE) at massive enterprise scale
Excellent cross-functional communication skills with a track record of aligning technical objectives with business and financial goals
Hands-on experience with intelligent resource automation platforms (e.g., ScaleOps) and automated scaling tools like Karpenter
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, OpenTofu) and configuration management
