Senior Data Protection Manager (UK Hub)

About The Role
Join our team as a Senior Data Protection Manager, where you will lead and drive privacy and data protection compliance across our UK Hub and associated international markets. This highly visible role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to influence at all levels of the business, and a proactive approach to managing competing demands in a complex international environment. You will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, ensuring that privacy requirements are effectively embedded into business activities while supporting growth and innovation.
- Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the regional data protection and privacy programme, ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR, POPIA, and PDPL.
- Conduct and oversee privacy impact assessments, risk assessments, and compliance reviews for business initiatives and operational changes, providing expert advice and guidance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain privacy policies, guidance, processes, controls, and governance frameworks, partnering with business leaders to embed privacy-by-design principles.
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume, fast-moving, and continuously changing portfolio of priorities and projects
- Strong communication, presentation, and reporting skills, with the ability to translate technical or regulatory requirements into practical business guidance
- Experience working in international or matrix organisations and collaborating with global teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively from operational teams through to senior executives
- Willingness and ability to work from the office a minimum of three days per week, with flexibility to travel occasionally as required
- Experience leading complex compliance programmes, initiatives, or transformation activities across multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrable expertise and 3+ years’ experience in data protection and privacy compliance in a commercial organisation
- Fluency in both English and German is essential; Arabic language skills would be an advantage
- Recognised privacy certification (e.g. ISEB, CIPP/E, CIPM); legal or data governance degree preferred
- Skilled in using OneTrust (DSAR, Inventory, Assessment, Cookie modules)
