About The Role

Join Neuralink, a pioneering company in the field of neurotechnology. As a Software Engineer on the Robot Manufacturing Team, you will play a crucial role in building neurosurgical robots at an unprecedented scale. You will have direct ownership of the robot manufacturing software stack, working closely with robot engineers and surgical engineers to understand their needs and build solutions. Your projects will include inventory and warehouse management systems, lifecycle management software, and more. This is a fast-paced, high-trust environment where you will have the autonomy to solve complex problems and make a real impact.

  • Designing and building systems that support the tracking, assembly, calibration, and verification of neurosurgical robots.
  • Collaborating closely with robot engineers and surgical engineers to understand their needs and translating those into effective software solutions.
  • Taking ownership of the robot manufacturing software stack, including inventory and warehouse management systems, and lifecycle management software.
  • You've built software that real people use
  • You take ownership. When your software breaks on the floor, you fix it
  • You're comfortable with ambiguity. Manufacturing at this scale hasn't been done before for this kind of device
  • You can talk to users, understand their problems, and translate that into well-built software. This role is deeply collaborative
  • Strong full-stack engineering skills. Our stack is Ruby on Rails and React/TypeScript, but we care more about your ability to learn and ship than your resume matching our package.json
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated work experience
